Tired of looking fine,
when something inside tells a different story.
Therapy and CounsellingTrauma and Somatically-informed Therapy & Counselling
to help you understand what's happening beneath the surface: so that real change, not just better coping, becomes possible.
Online across the UK. In person: London and Surrey.
You might know exactly what you want to work on. Or you might just have a sense that something isn't quite right: that life is being managed more than it's being lived.
Does this sound familiar?

Do the same situations keep repeating?
Different job, same pressure. Different relationship, same dynamic. You can see what keeps happening. But seeing it hasn't been enough to change it.
Do you feel constantly on edge, even when you're trying to rest?
You may find yourself overthinking, anticipating problems, or struggling to properly switch off, even when there's no immediate reason to worry.
Do you struggle to know what you actually feel or need?
You may think things through endlessly while still feeling disconnected from yourself, uncertain of your needs, or emotionally numb.
Do you feel responsible for everyone else's wellbeing?
You manage, support, anticipate, and keep going even when you're exhausted. But your own needs often come last, if they appear at all.
Do you look like you're coping while privately running on empty?
From the outside, life may appear manageable. Inside, you feel tense, overwhelmed, disconnected, or tired of holding everything together alone.
Whether some of these resonate or not, whatever's brought you here, you don't need to have it all worked out. We just start from wherever you are right now.
My name is Nick, and I'm a trauma-informed psychotherapist in London and Surrey.

What I offer is a chance to look beneath the surface of what's going on, and to begin to understand and change the patterns that may be keeping you stuck.
Most of us find ourselves, at some point, caught in old, often hidden patterns we didn't choose and can't quite explain. The ways we cope, relate and respond that once served us well may now be getting in the way. It takes courage to look at these, but understanding where those patterns come from, and what they've been protecting, is usually where things start to shift. From there, real choices become possible about how you want to live and who you want to be.
I've been here myself, realising how time at boarding school and navigating the world with a neurodivergent mind had led to patterns that no longer served me. It's a large part of what brought me to this work.
I've also come to realise that some of what keeps us stuck doesn't respond to thinking alone. Working with the body and the nervous system can create change that conversation by itself doesn't always reach. It's why I trained in trauma and somatic therapy: to help people get unstuck.
If you're ready to take that first step, I'd love to hear from you.
More About MeWhat therapy with me looks like

There's no fixed structure and nothing you need to prepare. We just start talking and follow what feels most relevant for you.
Some people arrive knowing exactly what they want to explore. Others aren't sure where to begin. Either is fine. Sessions can be quiet and reflective, or more active and direct, depending on what you need. Sometimes we'll try something rather than just talk about it, or pay attention to what you are noticing in your body as much as what's being said. What stays consistent is the curiosity and care I bring to every conversation, and the fact that you're always in the driving seat.
Let me also mention what 'trauma-informed therapy' means. Being trauma-informed doesn't mean you have to have trauma, or that every session is about trauma. It means working in a way that recognises how past experiences shape the present, and takes the body as seriously as the mind. You will find more information in the How I Work section.
Together we will uncover and work with the patterns that have been getting in the way, helping you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and, when you're ready, begin to change them in how you live and relate. Often this also means loosening the grip of ways of coping that once made sense, but no longer serve you.
Over time, most people find something they didn't quite expect: not just greater clarity, but a real shift in how things feel and how they live.
Starting therapy

If something here has resonated, I'd love to hear from you. The first step is just a conversation: free, informal, and with no obligation on either side. Whether you're ready to start or just want to have a chat, here are a few things that might be useful to know:
- Sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place weekly.
- I work in person at five locations across London (Islington, Angel, Soho and Bunhill) and in Guildford, Surrey, and also offer sessions online.
- The best way to get started is a free 20 minute introductory call: a chance for you to ask questions, get a sense of how I work, and see whether working together feels right. No commitment, no pressure.
- My fee is £75 per session. A small number of lower-cost places are available, so please do get in touch if cost is a concern.
You can reach me by email at nick@nicholaspage.co.uk or by WhatsApp on 07802 881541. I aim to respond within 48 hours.
